Notes from a Virginia Farmhouse. A lesson in the humanities.

Humanity Hall is a 150-acre property in western Hanover County, Virginia, once the site of a classical boys' school. The Reverend Peter Carr Nelson taught Latin and Greek here for over twenty years before his death in 1827. We are the family who lives here now. Restoration, research, written as we go.
